Texas Pharmacy Jurisprudence in Eight Areas

A study-and-test hybrid for the Texas MPJE. Each area opens with a short reading and a memory hook, then puts three questions to you under exam conditions. The clock runs while you answer and pauses while you read, so you can study and rehearse the pressure in the same sitting.

All 24 items are scored, in five formats: single best answer, select all that apply, label identification, category sorting, and sequencing. The answer and the rule behind it appear as soon as you submit. Questions draw on both Texas law — the Pharmacy Act, TSBP rules in 22 TAC, and the Texas Controlled Substances Act — and the federal law the MPJE tests alongside it.

Overview

Pharmacy students often seek licensure in several jurisdictions. Each has its own jurisprudence exam content. AR+D built a shared module format for a pharmacy school's licensure and continuing-education platform, then filled it in state by state. This page shows the Texas installment, an interactive short course. Each of the eight law areas on the Texas MPJE gets a short reading, a memory hook, and three scored questions. Questions come in five formats: single best answer, select-all, label identification, category sorting, and sequencing. A running exam clock times the questions.

The problem

Licensure candidates need more than a textbook or flashcard deck. They need repeated exposure to the specific numbers and rules each state adds to federal law. They need practice under realistic time pressure. They need immediate feedback on why an answer is right or wrong. Students often sit for licensure in several states. The school needed one module format it could fill in for each jurisdiction, without a separate content pipeline or authoring tool per state.

What we did

We built a single study-and-test format. Each section opens with a short reading and a memory hook, then moves to scored questions in five formats. The exam clock runs during questions and pauses during study reading. We filled the format with each state's own statute and board-rule content. The Texas installment draws on the Texas Pharmacy Act, TSBP rules, and the Texas Controlled Substances Act. It covers eight law areas and 24 scored items. Each item shows its answer, the underlying rule, and its statutory citation on submission. A closing score report breaks results down by law area and brings back every missed item for review.
